Air conditioning · cooling and heating

Cool in summer, warm in winter.

Today, an air conditioner is also an efficient heater. Every unit here is a heat pump that cools in summer and heats in winter.

In short

We work with the brands most in demand in Belgium and the Netherlands. For each brand, we chose the ranges that make the difference: a keenly priced entry level, a strong mid-range and a premium or design model. Figures according to the manufacturer. During the consultation we confirm the exact model and output for your home.

What we look at

Well chosen, lasting enjoyment.

The right output

Too small and it won't cool enough; too big and it keeps switching on and off. We calculate the output per room, not by guesswork.

Efficient heating

With a SCOP of 4 to 5, you get 4 to 5 kWh of heat from 1 kWh of electricity. Ideal for spring and autumn or as a supplement to your central heating.

Quiet and smart

The indoor units start at around 18 to 21 dB(A), quieter than a whisper. With the app, you switch the air conditioning on before you get home.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

As a rough rule of thumb, we allow about 100 watts per square metre: 2.5 kW for a room up to 25 m², 3.5 kW up to 35 m² and 5 kW up to 50 m². Insulation, large south-facing windows and a high ceiling all play a part, which is why we calculate it exactly during the home consultation.

Yes. Every air conditioner on this site is a heat pump that both cools and heats. How efficiently it heats is shown by the SCOP: the higher it is, the more heat per kWh of electricity.

SEER is the efficiency over an entire cooling season, SCOP over an entire heating season. A SCOP of 5 means you get an average of 5 kWh of heat for 1 kWh of electricity.

The indoor units we install start at around 18 to 21 dB(A) on their quietest setting, comparable to a soft whisper. We place the outdoor unit where it will disturb you and your neighbours the least.

Yes, with a multi-split set-up. Not every model and output can do this; the 1.5 kW version of the Daikin Stylish, for example, only works in multi-split. We look at which combination fits.

They are refrigerants. R32 is the standard today. R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a much lower climate impact, but it is flammable, so installation calls for extra care.
