As a rough rule of thumb, we allow about 100 watts per square metre: 2.5 kW for a room up to 25 m², 3.5 kW up to 35 m² and 5 kW up to 50 m². Insulation, large south-facing windows and a high ceiling all play a part, which is why we calculate it exactly during the home consultation.
That depends on your annual consumption, the space on your roof and its orientation. A panel of around 440 Wp produces roughly 370 to 420 kWh a year in Belgium and the Netherlands on a well-oriented roof. We work it out for you during the consultation.
A battery mainly pays off if you have a lot of solar power left over during the day and use a lot in the evening. We look at your consumption and your solar panels and tell you honestly whether a battery makes sense for you.
At home, 7 to 11 kW is enough: that fully charges most cars overnight. 22 kW only makes sense if your car can charge that fast and your connection allows it, which is usually the case for businesses.
